Thank you for your interest in becoming a Seller at our Nearly New Sale on Saturday 12th October 2024 (11am to 1pm) to be held at North Notts Arena, Eastgate, Worksop S80 1QS.

The cost of registering to be a Seller is £10.00.

Anything you sell at the sale on the day will be subject to a 25% donation to NCT.

SALE DATE Saturday 12th October 2024
11am NCT Members, 11:30am General Public

ITEM DROP OFF Friday 11th October 2024
10am - 1pm and 2pm - 5pm

UNSOLD ITEM COLLECTION Saturday 12th October 2024
3:15 - 3:45pm (Items left at 4pm will be donated to a range of local charities)

*** Sadly, we had to introduce an additional £5 retainer deposit for each seller, due to the large number of no
shows that we have had at previous sales. Your £5 retainer will be paid along with your takings after the sale.

We offer a reduced commission rate to any sellers that volunteer for 10hrs or more. The commission drops from
25% to just 15%, so volunteers take home 85% of the sale price.

Benefits of an NCT sale?

• We are not just another baby market or table-top sale!
• The sale is completely organised and run by volunteers.
• 100% of the profit goes to the NCT, the UK’s largest charity for parents. A portion of this goes to the
Bassetlaw Branch to help support local parents/families, particularly in the first 1000 days of parenting.

Seller Benefits

• No hassle of photographing items, arranging suitable collection times, waiting in for strangers to come to
your house, taking items to the Post Office etc
• Maximum commission rate for any one item is £7
• Labels are pre-printed and posted to you shortly after you’ve registered.
• Buyers decide exactly how much they want to sell their items for; no haggling required
• Items can be dropped off from 10am – 1pm and 2pm – 5pm the day before the sale; this (hopefully) allows
plenty of time before/after work/school runs.
• You don’t have to collect your unsold items if you don’t want to (they will be donated to a range of different
charities)
• Volunteers display and demonstrate (where necessary) your items to potential buyers.
• Seller payments will be paid via BACS directly into your bank account within 3 weeks of the sale date.

PLEASE NOTE
The maximum commission rate for any single item has been capped at £7. Therefore, any item priced at £28 or
more will have a lower commission rate than the standard 25%. We are frequently asked for large items of
equipment such as prams, Jumperoos, swings etc but in recent sales have not had many to sell unfortunately.
We hope this will change in future sales!

The Seven Steps to Selling at our Sale

1. Register to be a seller on the Intrabiz website and pay the £10.00 administration charge online. (£5 will be
returned to you unless you do not bring your items to sell).
Please note seller registration is a two-part process, and your seller place is NOT confirmed until your payment
has been made. Ensure you follow the link from the NCT email to make your payment and secure your place.

2. Receive your labels through the post shortly after you register to sell. These are colour coded according to
seller number. You will receive 15 sheets of labels (180 individual labels).

3. Write your labels and attach them securely to your items. Refer to the labelling document before completing
your labels (this will be emailed to you, along with your seller instructions once you register).

4. Group your labelled items according to type eg equipment/clothes/toys/books before dropping them at the
Arena. Clothes should also be grouped by gender/size. Please label bags/boxes clearly with the contents as it
makes it much easier and quicker for volunteers to sort and arrange your items when they are dropped at the
Arena.

5. Drop off your items at North Notts Arena on Friday 11th October between 10am – 1pm and 2pm – 5pm.
NOTE bags/boxes cannot be returned after the sale, please take them away with you as it saves us the expense
of having to dispose of them.

6. Collect your unsold items from North Notts Arena on Saturday 12th October between 3:15pm - 3:45pm.
Alternatively, you can donate any unsold items to charity (please let us know when you drop your items on
Friday).

7. Count your earnings from the sale (minus the NCT commission); they will be transferred to your bank
account within three weeks of the sale (along with your £5 seller refund).

Volunteering

For each sale, we rely on volunteers to help our sales run smoothly. As a thank you for their time and
commitment, volunteers that give 7hrs or more benefit from an opportunity to shop ahead of the crowds, in our
volunteers’ only pre-sale shop on Saturday morning before the sale opens.
Please note, the time put aside for pre-sale shopping (usually 1hr) does not contribute towards the 7hr volunteer
requirement.
