This is a volunteer run group that is open to all with all parents, grandparents and carers encouraged to
help out where they can.It is an informal group in a large church hall with areas set up for babies and
toddlers to play such as soft mats, Duplo, books, kitchen, dolls, cars and colouring for example. We
need people to help set up and put away. It is great if anyone would like to read the children a story or
lead on some songs at the end.
There will be tea and coffee for the adults to help themselves to plus some snacks for the children. We
would encourage you to bring a child's drink but cups are available for water for them if needed.
Everyone needs to muck in and help each other whether it is to offer others a drink or to wash up.
Everyone is at different stages in their parenting journey so help out those who might be finding things
more difficult and hopefully someone will help you on a bad day too.
There is a suggested donation of £2 for the 1st child and £1 for siblings. This is to help cover the venue
hire. It is important to us nobody is prevented from attending due to costs so please donate only what
you can afford; we understand this may be more or less some weeks than others.
Donations can be made online at any time or cash on the day.
Prepaid donations can be refunded if you need to cancel or you can book another week without
donating knowing you have already done this another week.
We will not be monitoring who pays what but we need to make sure it remains financial viable.
Booking is essential and we know at times there is more demand than our capacity can comfortably
cope with. It is important to let us know if you cannot attend so others can go in your place.
We are encouraging people to join our new Playgroup Facebook Group to help organise tasks and to
allow a waiting as well as being the place the link to future bookings will be posted.
