Thank you for signing up to the NCT Warwickshire Central 5km Big Push

The Big Push is a 5km walk/buggy push to highlight and raise money for maternal mental health and the wider work of
NCT. Parents and carers pay a fee to attend which allows them to participate in the walk.

The route will be around the path area of Victoria park, children will get to collect painted rocks and take part in a
treasure hunt.

After the 5km walk everyone will be invited to have a picnic (bring your own) on the grass to celebrate completing their
5km, children
will receive a certificate.

The money that our branch raises goes towards supporting parents in their first 1000 days. We offer 3 weekly
breastfeeding drop-ins in Warwick, Leamington and Kenilworth, hold 3 Nearly New Sales each year which support
over 1500 families and have 2 weekly bumps and babies groups. In 2019 we will be working with the food banks and
other community groups to offer vouchers to parents in need so they can purchase things from our Nearly New Sale
using a voucher, this will be on a referral basis and our branch will fund this scheme.

The other key purpose of the Big Push is to fundraise to combat loneliness in parents and families. Overcoming
loneliness is at the heart of NCT’s common purpose and our mission to create networks by forging vital friendships.
