Thank you for volunteering! As a ticketed sale we rely on many volunteers to make each sale a success.
To give you a general idea of what helping involves: on Friday evening and Saturday morning we empty
the seller cases and boxes and separate out goods into the relevant departments (books, toys, clothes etc
each of which are sub-divided by age, gender, type etc). On Saturday morning once all the goods are out,
quality checked and in the right area volunteers have an opportunity to pre-view and buy items prior to
admittance by the public. At 11.00am the doors open to NCT members and at 11.30am to non-members.
The sale continues until 1.00pm after which we take a short lunch break. Any goods that are not sold are
returned to the correct seller cases and boxes, and all clothes rails, tables etc are packed away. Our sales
always seem to go so quickly as there's so much going on and it's a great way to meet other mums, dads
and grandparents.

On the day of the sale we allocate specific roles to volunteers for before, during and after the sale. If you
have any specific requests please let us know, e.g. new parents often bring their babies with them in a
sling and can be allocated a quieter role upstairs in treasury while the sale is on if preferred.

If you can volunteer for 2 sessions (e.g. Friday evening and Saturday morning, or all day Saturday) and
have also registered as a seller, you will benefit from reduced commission on your sold items (i.e. you will
pay 25% rather than 30% commission).

Registration has now closed.
