SELL AND SHOP AT OUR BABY & CHILD SALE- HIGH QUALITY NEARLY NEW CLOTHES, TOYS AND
EQUIPMENT!
- It's important you register AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you would like to keep your existing number - or
retain the same number as you use in the Chorley sale if you sell at both, as we have limited access to the new
system to be able to change numbers.
- There is a £2 registration fee to sell. This has increased from the previous £1 fee, as due to a lack of
volunteers we are now offering a refund of the £2 seller registration fee to all sellers who give 4 or more hours
volunteer time over 9am- 4:30pm on the sale day, or during the set up Friday evening before.
We are increasingly short on volunteers, particularly during the sale time 11am - 2pm, so please come along
and help if you can, to keep the sale running as smoothly as it always does! We really look after our volunteers
with benefits such as early bird shopping, see below for more details.

- Once you have fully completed online seller registration, you will receive a confirmation email (usually within
48hours), with a seller's pack included giving you all the details you need to prepare for the sale.
- Our sale is a ticketed sale, which means you price up all your items before the sale, drop them off on the
morning of the sale (or the Friday evening before), and we do all the hard work! You can then choose to
collect any unsold items after the sale, or donate them to our Baby Bundles project and Barnados who collect
anything left at 4:30pm. Basically, we take all the fuss out of selling!
- Seller payments are paid within 7 days, via BACS. It's quick, easy and secure. Your details are held
centrally by NCT, and branch volunteers do not have access to your details.
- Sellers keep 75% of what they make on the day, and the remaining 25% goes directly to the NCT charity.
We use the funds that remain in the branch to fund our Baby Bundles project.

Sell, shop and volunteer at our sale!
Come and bag a bargain on our vast selection of good quality Nearly New Items, or have a clear out and
make some extra pennies while supporting a local charity!! As always seller places are limited so please get in
touch asap if you would like to sell again or want to register for the first time.
The Nearly New Sale is particularly important,as it is the main fundraiser for our key local community
project- our Baby Bundles Scheme that provides practical help to struggling expectant Mothers and new
families in the form of emergency packs of clothes, toiletries, toys and other equipment. We work with all
sorts of Preston, South Ribble and Fylde based Health Professionals and support services, receiving
referrals from Health Visitors, Social workers, Midwives, women's refuges and Children's centres. The
scheme is in high demand, and provides essential support to local familes who are in dire circumstances.

The NNS also helps to fund all the other services we offer at the branch such as weekly support groups,
and a successful sale means we can carry on helping local parents into the future.
Of course, to make the sale a success we need your help! Everything we do at the branch is 100%
powered by hard working, dedicated, lovely volunteers (if we do say so ourselves!), and we need a team of at
least 40 to help the sale go smoothly on the day (especially during the sale itself and after, to keep to queues
short and ensure sellers get their items returned in a timely manner).
We need volunteers from 8am-4:30pm on Sat 15th Oct, mainly 11am-4:00pm to cover the sale time. We
have pizza after the sale finishes at 2pm, and any volunteer who gives 4 hours or more will be entitled to early
bird shopping from 10:30am before the sale opens.
We are the only charity sale in town, among many commercial ones, so if you would like to lend a hand to
help us support local families, have a fun day out with other local parents and get the chance to get first pick of
the bargains, please let us know when you are able to volunteer!
** We are now offering a refund of the seller registration fee to those sellers who volunteer at the sale! **
The £2 seller registration fee will be refunded (after the sale) to those sellers who give 4 or more hours
volunteer time across the sale day, including the set up time 3:15pm - 5pm on Friday 14th to help set up the
hall. We really need volunteers 8am -11:30 to help set up on the day, then especially during the sale time
11:30 - 2pm to man tills and help shoppers, and finally after the sale 2pm - 4:30pm to help tidy up and get all
the seller's items back to them in good time!
Come along and help a local charity- its the perfect excuse for a fun day away from the kids, socialising
with other friendly parents. We reward our volunteers with tea, coffee, cake and pizza after the sale, plus
volunteers who give 4 or more hours get into the early bird shopping time from 10:30am, before the sale is
open to the general public. Get your pick of the bargains and sign up to volunteer!
